Vanessa is a board-certified Adult/Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. Born and raised at the beach in New Jersey, Vanessa began her nursing career in 2002. She gained experience working both inpatient and outpatient in oncology before pursuing travel nursing which would take her to Colorado and Hawaii.
Although her love of travel remains, Vanessa would eventually settle in New York City in 2006, where she took a position at Memorial Sloan-Kettering and furthered her education. She graduated Sigma Theta Tau with a Master’s in Science/Nurse Practitioner from Hunter College of the City University of New York.
Vanessa’s career as a Nurse Practitioner began in 2013 in Melanoma at Memorial Sloan-Kettering, where she was at the forefront of immunotherapy research, contributing to the FDA approval of the first PD-1 drug. Her expertise in research and immunotherapy led her to Columbia University Medical Center, where she helped establish their Phase 1 research department and an immunotherapy management clinic. Her impressive career history includes various projects and published peer-reviewed journal articles, showcasing her excellence in the field.
In 2019, Vanessa and her husband embarked on a new challenge and moved to Europe. During this time, she experienced top med spas in Switzerland and France, inspiring a career change into aesthetics. She admired how these spas focused on individuality and enhancing natural beauty, sparking her desire to create similar experiences for others. Following the birth of her daughter in April of 2020, the challenges presented by the COVID pandemic inspired Vanessa and her husband to relocate closer to family. Seeking warmer weather as well, they would eventually relocate to Palm Beach, Florida, where she joined the Rowe Plastic Surgery team.
Vanessa brings her extensive knowledge as an experienced nurse practitioner to the field of Aesthetics and Plastic Surgery. She possesses excellent communication and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail. Known for her caring nature, gentle touch, and calming disposition, Vanessa is dedicated to continuous learning and staying updated on the latest evidence-based practices. She prioritizes educating her patients about all options to facilitate informed decisions and tailors plans to meet everyone’s goals, ensuring a safe and trusting environment. Vanessa’s mission is to enhance her patients’ confidence by restoring their natural beauty and youthfulness. Patient safety, results, and happiness are her top priorities.
In her free time, Vanessa can be found on her yoga mat or at the beach with her husband and young daughter. Fun facts: Vanessa holds a 200-hour yoga teacher certification and a Reiki Level II certification. Her favorite quote is, “Aging is out of your control.
